NRCA recently sent a letter to the Department of Energy to explain the immediate need for a comprehensive federal approach to address devastating supply chain shortages of materials that began during the COVID-19 pandemic and have been greatly exacerbated by natural disasters—most recently Hurricane Ida.

Associated Builders and Contractors reported that its Construction Backlog Indicator fell to 7.6 months in September, according to a member survey conducted Sept. 20-Oct. 4.
