At the 2021 IRE, Pavecon's VP of HR Operations discussed the labor shortage and creative ways employers can recruit talent. When it comes to attracting talent, "the old standard way isn't cutting it," according to Brad Humphrey, the VP of Human Resources Operations at Pavecon.

The International Roofing Expo announced an interactive hiring map that harnesses the power of the IRE community to address the industry’s labor challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the construction industry in many ways, from increased demand to supply-chain delays and labor shortages.

A new report examines the reasons behind claims and disputes on capital projects, as well as the extent that COVID-19 was a project disrupter. It shows the scale of cash and time that was lost on construction and engineering projects in the past year.

The construction industry added jobs in November. Nonresidential construction added 20,800 jobs while 10,300 residential construction positions were added.

The newsletter also features the IRE Digital Showguide, Kelly Roofing Tesla Solar Roof whitepaper and "Guidelines for Successful Family Construction Business Transition."
